You are so right, Andy. Thank you for helping us make Piper's last moments so special. Bekkah and I will never forget that; it meant so much to us. The paw impressions are amazing.
Oh my gosh. I was in the vet's office last week picking up Tess from her "spa day" (read: bath that she HATES) and as I was going in, I saw a woman holding her dog and she was crying so hard and her family was all around her. They soon ushered her to a room and closed the door. I KNEW why she was there. I had never seen this woman before and didn't know her or the dog from Adam but I broke down and totally lost it there in the waiting room. I had to walk over to the corner because I was sobbing so hard. I can't imagine having to do this, even if it is the kindest thing. Just breaks my heart.
OMG, I really need to do that for Brooke. It is so hard. Maybe we anthropomorphize our pets a little too much when it comes near the end.
