White Roses Still Life on Yupo

I finished this little painting last night while watching TV. it's 5x7 inches on yupo paper, not varnished. I will double mat this one, probably to a 11 x 14 size frame. $95 plus $6 priority shipping.

On a side note, can someone tell me why Omarosa is actually on Celebrity Apprentice?

JAVMA cover - Grey Tabby Cat selected

I got a call today from the AVMA association. American Vet Medical Association.

They publish the Journal twice a month, and usually have animal art on the cover.
They have selected my Grey Tabby Cat image to appear on an April issue.

Yay! That made my day, I have to say.

It measures 17 inches square. The image is woven into the fabric. NOT printed on. Lined in black with fuzzy soft handles.

The image comes from my original watercolor painting.

Amaryllis an Clayboard- a work in progress

I worked on this for all of about 30 minutes last night. Not much. Just floated in some color for the background- quinacridone gold, and antwerp blue (? I think) mixed with a little grey still on my palette. It'll go much darker to offset the light shining on the amaryllis.

Trying to do glazing on paper or clayboard is spread out time wise even on a small painting such as this. It's 5x7 inches. Each layer needs to dry completely, which oftens means overnight, before adding more layers.
