Yellow is a hard color to work with. For me anyway. Especially the shadows and the value changes. Here's a stab at yellow tulips. Varnished watercolor on yupo board, 5x7 inches.
My painting muse fell off the wagon around thanksgiving and spent the holidays in rehab at Betty Ford Clinic. Of course, only the best for Sheila. Sheila returned home yesterday. I have painted this particular calla lily before, but it was a warmer version. This one is cool . . . sorta like January. Ha!
Anyone know when you can buy Calla lillies at the florist?
