I happened to be at the hospital on Sunday when I intercepted a kitten being dumped at my office.
There aren't many reasons why someone would drive to the vet, on a Sunday, when the office is closed, without an appointment, with a kiten in a box. After talking to the guy, it became obvious that if I didn't take the kitten, Mr. SUV driver would dump her out in the woods, throw her in the river, etc., that sorta thing. Nice.
There is a little 30 second video of the kitten below this post, if you click on this link which will take you to the top of the page.

Thanks SO much for rescuing her. She is beautiful, and so cute. I have 3 wonderful cats, and one of them is a cat that was "dumped" at my vets. I had just lost an older cat so my vet suggested that I take him home and I am so glad I did.
Hope she find a wonderful home.
Awwwwww! I have a kitty that looks a lot like her... so cute!
Thank you for being a good Samaritan! And boo, hiss to the SUV driver. I hope he meets himself on the road.
She is so adorable! I'm glad she found you! I'd take her in a second if we lived closer. She looks like my 15-year-old cat, Callie.
Good luck finding her a nice home. I know someone out there has a nice cozy spot for her.
Keep us posted!
Some people's hearts are two sizes too small.
I'm glad you could rescue her and I hope someone gives her a wonderful home.
Oh Andy. I still want to figure out a way to get her, though I know it's nearly impossible. I hope she finds a wonderful home. Thank you so much for saving her.
Does she have a home yet? I've decided to be intelligent and not drive to GA, but I've got my sis in MD asking around. One of her coworkers has a bunch of family and friends in GA, so maybe!
thanks for your comments and asking about her.
Today is Friday, the 21st, and she is doing a little better today. She slept a lot the last two days and I am hoping soon that she'll be able to eat on her own without me feeding her with a syringe.
Sat the 22nd-
LMS is FINALLY lapping baby food off my finger. Yay!
Ugh, people like that SUV driver need to be euthanized! You are wonderful to help the kitten, my boyfriend and I just spent the last week caring for a dumped kitten and trying to place her. Right now the ASPCA is trying to find her a home after we spent a week exhausting all of our resources but we told them if they did not have success we'd take her back and try again. I only wish our house was bigger so we could give a home to more animals in need. We already have two rescue kitties of our own.
