Bridget in Da' House. And my giveaway is back.

That's right. Mz. Bridget came back in yesterday for her puppy vaccination minus her splint. Remember her from about 3 weeks ago? The stray puppy that was found below a bridge that might have been thrown from the bridge?

Her owner called last week, and said the splint was getting demolished and she was much too rambunctious. So I told him to try taking the splint off, keep her confined as much as possible, and to see how it goes. The splint might have to be reapplied.

So , things are healing nicely . She has a callus formed around the right elbow, so we are going to leave the splint off. It's still a little sore, as she favors it a bit . Notice how she doesn't put weight on the elbow (see the arrow)? and in this photo, you can see that she isn't full weight bearing on it yet.

Probably will take another 2, maybe 3 weeks to finish healing.

And my giveaway is back for December. If you remember I discontinued it back in the spring when I was figuring out a different format for it. It's returning, with gift items you can give to your family and friends. A set of stone cat coasters, 3 ornaments, a notepad maybe- about a $40 value. It's my way of saying thank you for reading my blog, subscribing to my updates with my bad grammer, poor spelling, and jibberish, haha.

So leave a comment to enter. Even if you don't care about the giveaway, leave a comment anyways, as I like to hear what you are up to.

So here's the question.
What are you most looking forward to during the holidays and why? Traveling anywhere? Visiting relatives? Taking a vacation? Or are you hosting and relatives coming to visit you?
Have any family traditions you care to share? Or are you just excited like me to see food, such as cornbread dressing? I am not much for the giblet gravy, however. No thank you.

I'll let this go through Friday the 5th, and select the recipient randomly using the number generator, so I can get your package on the way, in time for the holiday.

Thanks again for reading-

I love animals, so was glad to see the story of Bridget...my 3 cats are rescue kitties too. One is special needs with cerebellar hypoplasia (excuse the spelling!) but don't tell HIM that cuz he thinks he is just fine! To be honest, this is my first visit to your blog, but I will be back to visit again! Wishing you a wonderful holiday and thanks for having such a generous giveaway!

I have a 2 and a 3 year old so the holidays are exciting for them. It's fun to teach them traditions and I love how they react to all of the surprises. It keeps me young, as well, I suppose. Happy Holidays everyone!

Hey, Andy! Mz. Bridget is so very precious. I hope she heals up just perfectly. I'd like to add her to my painting list. Miss Brooke sends her best to Mz. Bridget. I love your painting shown on the round ornament. You have become a real pro with the product line.

Andy,

Bridget looks like such a sweetie! I'm glad to hear that she's healing up nicely.

I can't understand how some people can treat animals in such an awful manner! We have a rescue dog that we got two years ago as a pup and were told that she and her sibling were found in a dumpster.

As for the holidays I have Christmas at my house every year. It's exciting to see family and everyone getting together and of course all of the great food! I'm just hoping that I don't gain too much!!

Andy you do so much for these little (and sometimes Big) guys...you have a heart of gold.

I love seeing their pics and readying your stories especially the happy tails tales.

I wish you a happy holiday season ours is fairly quiet and low key but that is ok...All is Calm, All is Bright works great for us.
I wish it could work for the world too.
peace & cheers!

I'm looking forward to all of my children and grandchildren being at my house at the same time. I love a packed house. All the chatter and laughter. Plus this year there will be plenty of music going on too because I bought Rock Band and boy, is that ever a crowd pleaser.I've secretly been practicing so that I don't make a huge fool of myself in front of everyone. In fact, I'm getting pretty good at the singing and the guitar.

Andy, you take the best character photos of your animals. It's almost like they could be used as a mold for making stuffed toys.
This holiday season will be spent in Florida with the Thompson Tribe.
I have been a bit of a grinch so far this holiday season but I'm sure that will change very soon.
I will likely watch It's A Wonderful Life several times and eat real home made cookies daily. They say the average American gains 7 lbs over the holiday season... I hope that I can avoid that one ; )

Hi Andy, I couldn't help but enter to win some of your lovely work. I thouroughly enjoy reading about the animals as well as seeing what new paintng you've come up with.

We just received our second cat... who is 4, to be company to our 12 year old cat Casey. So for so good.

Right now I'm looking forward to having some holiday bazaars behind me so I can get down to decorating and enjoying having friends over during the festivities. I really look forward to the smells of Christmas, the peace in the cool fresh air when it's quiet out. Our daughter lives about 3 hours away and we will spend Christmas day with them. I am really looking forward to the holiday this year. I'm feeling very optimistic this season.

Season's Greetings...

What a sweet puppy! I hope she heels up okay.

What am I looking forward to? Hmmm... probably, getting a job. I've been out of work since the end of August -- decided to take a bit of a break at that point and see if I could survive through the holidays via my creative endeavors. Needless to say, with the economy, I'm squeaking by. Sales are only a small fraction of what they normally are for this time of year. So, the time off has been wonderful, but it's time to get back to work! Wish me luck...

And besides that, just being with family. ♥

Hope your holidays are wonderful!

- Theresa

Thanks all-

Nancy, I meant to drop you a note earlier, but wanted to say I am lazy when it comes to blog tag. LAY-ZEE.

I appreciate people thinking of me, so don't think I'm being rude by not participating. I did participate once or twice, but after that I haven't.

TheresaJ-
I hope things get better for you. Best of luck in the job search. Hope you find something you love doing.

First off, Bridget is adorable.
I am most looking forward to seeing my three sons for the holidays, I'm in central NY. They're in southern NY, Idaho and Alaska. I've really been missing them lately. I'll be making tons of cookies. One type is made on an iron that my great grandmother used in Norway.
